Going to celebrate New Year's Eve
As I have said in my “About Me” on my profile page, I am a senior at Michigan State University. An artist by nature, I feel like everything in this world is made of art. Take this page, for example. Somebody had to go through the trouble of designing the layout of the page, the colors, even the type. It’s a lot of work! So going off of what I know about design and art in general, I’ve decided to take that viewpoint and apply it to New Media. First impressions are important, and the way a site or page or anything, really, is designed does have an impact on how people view it.
To tell you a little bit more about myself, I will be graduating in May with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising. It’s funny, though, because while some of the classes I have taken do interest me (for example, a Web design class I had last semester was such a blast!), I really want to go into teaching. I am currently looking for opportunities to possibly become an assistant at a school while taking night classes to complete any requirements I may need to become a certified teacher. So if anybody has any suggestions or opportunities for me, let me know!
Besides art, I love to read and write, watch movies, and make scrapbooks. Music is also a passion of mine, and though I will probably never be in a band because I have the biggest stage fright, I love to listen. Dance is another passion–again, while I cannot dance to save my life, I am fascinated by what people can do with their bodies. I am a fun-loving girl, but I am professional when I need to be. I just love to live life to its fullest and chase after my dreams, and I want to find my niche in the world just like everybody else.
